JAMMU, Apr 15: Shagun Saini of Shiksha Niketan High School clinched first prize at a symposium organised by the Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha at Parade, Jammu.
The symposium focused on the life and teachings of Bhagwan Parshuram, revered as the sixth incarnation of Bhagwan Vishnu, and aimed to promote awareness of India’s rich cultural heritage, instil moral values among students and highlight relevance of ancient teachings in contemporary society.
Shagun’s achievement brought pride to her institution and reflected school’s commitment to academic excellence and co-curricular participation. The event was attended by MLA East Jammu, Yudhvir Sethi and MP (Rajya Sabha) Sat Paul Sharma as chief guests, along with other dignitaries of the Sabha, who emphasized importance of preserving cultural traditions and encouraged students to participate in such intellectual forums. Students from various schools of Jammu also participated in the competition.
Organisers of the Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha appreciated the efforts of all participating schools and praised the speakers for their confident presentations, while also highlighting that such events help strengthen values, knowledge and cultural understanding among youth across Jammu region today.
