SRINAGAR, Feb 25: State Football Academy of Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council organized a two-day Under-12 Girls Football Tournament which was kicked off at Synthetic Turf TRC Ground, here today.
Twelve teams of various schools are participating in this tournament which is being played on knockout basis. During the first day, eight matches were played in which Baramulla School, International School, Mallinson Girls School, and Bandipora made it to semifinals.
On this occasion, Asian Football Confederation Technical Observer, Anya Palusevic of Germany and Assistant Manager of All India Football Federation, Sapna were the chief guests while Director Radio Kashmir Srinagar, Syed Himayun Kaiser, Joint Secretary Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council (JKSSC), Nazir Ahmed, Divisional Sports Officer Kashmir, Nuzhat Ara, Senior Member of JKSSC, Professor Bashir Ahmad, Technical Director of SFA, Sajid Yousuf Dar, General Secretary JKFA, SA Hameed, District President JKFA, Fayaz Ahmad Sofi were the guests of honour.
The event was also graced by the presence of other members and coaches of SFA and JKFA.
The participating teams include Baramulla School, Tyndale Biscoe and Mallinson Society, Green Valley, Green Land, Holy Faith, International School, Bandipora School, GVS, Sun Rise, Parmount School, Madre Meharbaan and Mallinson.
The Tournament is being organized by the State Football Academy of Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA).
