JAMMU, Feb 23: J&K Senior Men Chess team was screened at MA Stadium, here today by the Screening Committee of J&K Sports Council for the participation of upcoming National Senior Chess Championship which is scheduled to be held at Kanpur from February 25 to March 3.
Manager Indoor Stadium, Satish Gupta wished good luck to the players in presence of president All J&K Chess Association, Atul Kumar Gupta and Secretary Udhampur District Chess Association, Ajit Singh wished for their participation in upcoming National Championship.
Team comprises J&K UT Chess Champion including Soham Kamotra, Sumit Grover, Ashutosh Jamwal and Khalid Amin.
President of the Association, Atul Kumar Gupta said that about 300 players from almost all the States of India are expected to participate including 30 Grand Masters and 45 International Masters.
