JAMMU, Feb 11: Semifinals line up has been cleared in the ongoing Inter-Panchayat Block level cricket tournament, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Parade Ground, here today.
Teams reaching the semifinals were Simula Cricket Club, Vishal Cricket Club, National Cricket Club and Road Safety Cricket Club.
Now, in the semifinals, Simula will take on National Club while Road Safety Club shall meet Vishal Club.
Earlier, in today’s quarterfinals, Simula defeated Shining Star Club by 49 runs. Batting first, Simula made 129 runs for six wickets, which, in reply, Star Club could not chase and bowled out for 80 runs in 15 overs.
In other quarterfinal, Vishal Club outplayed NSCC by 11 runs. Earlier, Vishal Club, batting first, set a target of 160 runs losing eight wickets in 20 overs. In reply, NSCC could make 147 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of six wickets.
