JAMMU, Nov 3: Semifinals position has been cleared in the Junior Snooker District Championship with Kanav, Mandeep, Rohit and Vipin making it to the last four stages in the ongoing 23rd Jammu District Junior and Senior Billiards and Snooker Championship, being organized by J&K Billiards and Snooker Association at MA Stadium, here.
In the quarterfinals, Kanav Manwa toppled Furkan Wani (2-0) by (69-62, 46-40), Mandeep Singh got better of Tarun Rana (2-1) by (53-83, 45-10, 59-45), Rohit Chib prevailed over Arjun Singh (2-0) by (45-30, 49-24) and Vipan Malhi outplayed Rohit Sharma (2-0) by (55-48, 44-34).
Earlier, in the remaining matches of the pre-quarters, Arjun Singh beat Jaswinder (2-0) by (56-29, 69-59), Vipan Malhi outclassed Sanand Sharma (2-1) by (56-23, 26-75, 60-35), Rajat Gandral trounced Akshay Sharma (2-0) by (40-39, 49-35) and Rohit Sharma drubbed Chetnya Sharma (2-0) by (51-45, 60-10).
