JAMMU, Mar 31: The six players of Kashmir Premier League (KPL)-2 selected in Under 14 and 19 years categories returned back after undergoing advance training at Virender Sehwag Cricket Academy at Jhajjar.
These enthusiastic young cricketers of the Valley underwent progressive coaching program of five weeks, which included fitness regime followed by technical lectures and practice sessions covering the finer aspects of the game under watchful eyes.
In order to enhance the skills of trainees and prompt identification of technical flaws, high-tech bowling machines and video analysis equipments were utilised.
These players also played friendly matches organised by the academy with local clubs to test their skills.
The young cricketers were guided in their fields of expertise by highly qualified and experienced professionals.
The trainees were mentored by committed coaches ensuring a lifetime experience for them.
During training camp, Virender Sehwag also provided them invaluable tips about the finer nuances of the game besides sharing his experiences with them.
Addressing the gathering during closing ceremony of the coaching camp at Old Air Field Military Station, Brigadier MK Bindal, Commander, Chinar AD Bde reiterated the commitment of Chinar Corps in providing a platform to the budding cricketers of the Valley to showcase their talent and further hone their skills through such coaching camps.
