JAMMU, Aug 18: Society for Environment, Education and Modern Art (SEEMA) and Nirvana Academy, well known cultural club organized Dogri Programme ‘Hosaly Di Udari’ at KL Saigal Hall, here today.
Sanjeev Manmotara, senior BJP Leader was the chief guest while Puja Pantari, Vice Principal Jodhamal Public School was guest of honour on the occasion. Vinod Bhan, Director Doordarshan, Shishupal Member Tawi Arti group were the special guest.
Program started with traditional lighting of lamp, which was followed by the welcome address by Seema Dogra, Director Society for Environment, Education and Modern Art.
Opening Dogri group Song performance by Students of Jodhamal Public School was highly applauded by the audience. More than 15 performers, artists and children participated in the Dogri Singing programme.
Dogri Folk, Regional and Pahari Songs enthralled the audience, which were prepared by the noted mentor, Singer and Music Director Deepak Kumar. Rakesh Khanna, MK Gill and Rajeev accompanied the singers on music instruments.
While speaking on the occasion, Sanjeev Manmotara said that youth and children of State have lot of potential and these kinds of programmes provides platform and firsthand knowledge of art and culture of the region to the budding artists.
Founder Nirvana Academy, Hitesh Badyal said that such activities helped the children in overall personality development and also to explore their creativity.
