JAMMU, Nov 19: SD Memorial Higher Secondary School Karwanda defeated Chenab Valley Public School (CVPS) by 68 runs in the ongoing Under-16 School Cricket tournament, being organised by the Country Cricket Club and the Project Model Higher Secondary School Janipur at Gharota, near here today.
Batting first, after winning the toss, SD Memorial Higher Secondary School Karwanda scored 178 runs. Mohit contributed 50 runs, Jatin made 34, while Vishal and Mohd Asif contributed 20 runs each. Rameshwer also chipped in with 16 runs.
From CVPS, Shiv and Mohd Arif took 3 wickets each, while Vansh, Mannat and Arav claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, CVPS scored 110 runs. Mohd Arif scored 21 and Mannat contributed 19 runs, while Aditya, Sehdev and Rajdev scored 12 runs each.
The guests of honour for today’s match were the team coach CVPS Nihal Kumar and team Coach SDMH Vikram Singh.
The match was officiated by Garu Ram, Nand Lal and Rudra Kumar, while Sanjay Kumar was the overall in-charge.
