JAMMU, Nov 18: The students of Jodhamal Public School won accolades by winning Best Delegation in MUN Conferences held at Jammu Sanskriti School and Heritage School, here.
Jodhamal Public School delegation participated in Global Peace Model United Nations Conference known as GPMUN .
The Delegation comprised of 15 students namely Aarya Mahajan, Akshobya Pratap Singh, Aayan Malhotra, Akshat Dogra, Divyanshi Trakroo, Kush Manchanda, Lakahav Singh Sambyal, Luvish, Medansh Thusoo, Pranav Mahajan, Seerat Virk, Sohum Magazine, Swastik Dev Singh, Shaarvi Magazine and Shaurya Sangra.
The GPMUN convened 7 committees like UNSC, UNHRC, UNW, Lok Sabha, JKLA, Continuous Crisis Committee and IP.
JMPS Delegation competed with delegates from many different Schools and received Best Delegation Trophy with maximum number of individual prizes.
Aarya Mahajan, Swastik Dev Singh and Shaurya Sangra received Best Delegate Award, Shaarvi Magazine, Seerat Virk, Soham Magazine got High Commendation, Medansh Thusoo, Akshat Dogra, Lavish Jamwal and Pranav Mahajan got Verbal Mention.
In an another event, Jodhamal Public School delegation participated in Heritage School Jammu Model United Nations Conference that hosted its 2nd edition in Heritage School campus.
Jodhamal Public School delegation comprising of 17 students namely Aarya Mahajan, Medansh Thusoo, Pranav Mahajan, Seerat Virk, Soham Magazine, Shaarvi Magazine, Mitushi Sharma, Srishti Gupta, Suhani Sharma, Samarth Mahajan, Moksh Sharma, Samarth Mahajan, Angad Singh, Mudakkir Latifi, Ahmed Ayaan. The HSMUN convened 7 committees like UNSC, UNHRC, UNDP, LOK SABHA, AIPPM, JKLSM and IP. JMPS Delegation received Best Delegation Trophy with maximum number of individual prizes and proved its excellence by sweeping 11 awards starting with Pranav Mahajan & Medansh Thusoo, who received the Best Delegate Award, Shaarvi Magazine, Mitushi Sharma High Commendation, Samarth Mahajan, Suhani Mahajan, Aarya Mahajan, Seerat Virk Special Mention, Soham Magazine, Saksham Mahajan, Adit Magotra Verbal mention.
The Delegations were mentored and escorted by faculty members Bhawna Madaan, Mubeen Butt, Deepmala, Deepali, Namrata, Keshav Prajapati and Ruby Sharma.
Principal Dr Deep Khare congratulated the team for their outstanding performance.
