JAMMU, June 23: A vibrant two-day performing arts programme, jointly organized by Scottish Hall Academy and D-Drama, concluded today at the Open Air Theatre, Alexander Memorial School, celebrating the creative talents of Jammu’s youth.
Held on June 20 and 22, the programme featured over 80 students showcasing their skills in music, dance and theatre. Highlights included Band Fiesta, led by professional musician Anish, with performances on guitar, drums, piano and vocals. Nritya Sagar, a semi-classical dance workshop, was conducted by Kathak guru Satish Chander, offering students deeper insight into Indian classical dance.
Theatre took centre stage with “Ringa Ringa Roses,” a process-oriented production directed by Delight William Kler, a Theatre in Education professional from NSD, Delhi. The play emphasized preserving one’s inner child in a fast-paced world.
Chief guests included Devyani Rana, Vice President BJP Yuva Morcha, and Dr. Sanjogita Sudan, Deputy Director, Super-Specialty Hospital Jammu. Dr. Ritu Singh, along with school heads and parents, also graced the occasion.
“The energy and creativity we witnessed were truly inspiring,” said Delight William Kler, Director, D-Drama Academy. Scottish Hall Academy, Jammu’s first dedicated performing arts school, continues to champion holistic development through the arts.
