JAMMU, Feb 10: SCIENTIA International School celebrated its Annual Day Function with pomp and show at Abhinav Theatre, here today.
Students displayed their abundant talent impressing one and all.
Padamshree Balwant Thakur, Regional Director Indian Council for Cultural Relations, J&K was the chief guest and Er. Narinder Singh Bali, Special Secretary, Information Department was the guest of honour on the occasion.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest in the presence of Er. Narinder Singh Bali, OP Sharma, Principal Bharti Bhardwaj, Parshotam Bhardwaj, Chairman SCIENTIA , which was followed by Saraswati Vandana.
Earlier, the School Principal, Bharti Bhardwaj presented welcome address.
A soulful rendition by the senior group, singing Saraswati Vandana song, ending with a plea to dispel the darkness, enthralled the audience.
Primary students showcased their talent by performing on the Salsa Dance, Dogri Dance, Kashmiri Dance, and Western Dance.
Bhangra showcasing the flavour of Punjab was a thrilling visual treat.
Principal also highlighted the achievements of the school and the students.
The dance presented by the pre- primary and primary department, took the audience on a spectacular journey showcasing transformation of human mind through education.
The function culminated with much awaited prize distribution ceremony wherein the Chairman along with the chief guest and other dignitaries distributed prizes among the students.
