JAMMU, Mar 3: A Science Quiz Competition was organized at Dogra College of Education on the occasion of National Science Day, here today.
The day is being celebrated every year to mark the discovery of Raman Effect by Indian Physicist Sir C V Raman.
5 teams namely Master Minds, Mind Bogglers, Mind Benders, Free Thinkers and Mind Readers consisting of four students each participated in the competition.
The theme of the quiz was ‘Application of Science and Technology in the field of Education’.
Earlier, Shefali Sharma Vice-Principal in her address said that National Science Day is celebrated as one of the main Science Festivals in India in which students demonstrate various science projects as well as latest researches.
The programme was well organized under the guidance of Bela Thakur, Lecturer in Teaching of Science and also the Academic Coordinator of the college.
Prof B D Damral, Director (Academics) and Principal Dogra College of Education lauded the efforts put in by the students and staff members for organizing such an educative programme.
Team Mind Bogglers comprising of Ritu, Gulshan, Babita and Liquat Ali was declared the winner.
