UDHAMPUR, Dec 23: A Science Exhibition cum Science Mela was organized by the management of Maharaja Hari Singh DAV Public Higher Secondary School, Udhampur in which the students of the institution participated with their science models.
On this occasion, a poster making competition was also organized in the institution in which more than three hundred posters on the theme, “Save Mother Earth” were displayed on the walls of the class rooms. The exhibition was organized by the school management in collaboration with Department of Science and Technology, District Udhampur.
Ram Kumar Principal, Rashpal Singh Lecturer and Virender Sharma, Retd. Principal participated as judges. The competition was divided into three sections viz. Primary, Middle and Secondary/ Higher Secondary sections. Based on the judgments of the specially appointed judges; in the primary section the first prize was bagged by Rahi of class 5th for their model, second prize was bagged by Satvik and third prize was bugged by Ajit.
In addition to it, Vidush first consolation prize was given to second and third consolation prizes were given to NirbhayAndAnanya In the middle section the first prize was bagged by for their model, second prize was bagged by and third prize was bagged by Muskan. In addition to it,first consolation prize was given toPrajwalsecond and third consolation prizes were given toSatvik and Ridhi.
In the secondary/ Higher Secondary section, the first prize was bagged by Sudhanshu for their model Trignomatery , second prize was bagged by Munish and third prize was bagged by Prajwal . In addition to it,Arun first consolation prize was given toRakshitsecond and third consolation prizes were given to Ujjwal and Pooja.
Mr. S K. Gandotra, Retd. Joint Director, Department of School Education, was the chief guest of the occasion. Earlier he was welcomed by the Chairman of the school Romesh Sharma, Staff of the institution and other prominent citizens were present.
SunitaRazdan, District Co-coordinator, Department of Science and Technology thanked the chief guest of honor for sparing his precious time to grace the occasion.
