JAMMU, May 9: Sant Mela Singh College of Education, Digiana, Jammu organised an exhibition cum workshop on teaching aids in its college premises, here today.
Dr Kiran Luthra, Principal of the college inaugurated the exhibition cum workshop in a well attended function. She was assisted by all the staff members concerned.
Teachers demonstrated the art of preparing the teaching aids with the help of relevant and natural material.
The purpose of holding the programme was to develop creativity among pupil teachers and to develop knowledge of procedure of designing the teaching aids and the material to be used so that the teaching aids relevant to the subject to be taught.
The senior teachers interacted with the students and emphasized upon the significance of teaching aids in providing a multi-sensory experience to the learners and facilitating the teaching learning progress.
Dr Kiran Luthra speaking on the occasion, suggested the students that they should use novel and innovative techniques while preparing teaching aids.
