JAMMU, Nov 22: Sant Gurbaksh Singh Ji Danna Memorial Hockey Tournament will be organized by Sarb Sangat Organisation, under the aegis of Hockey J&K and under the supervision of Sant Tejwant Singh Ji of Dera Sant Pura Danna, here.
This was informed by the organizing committee in a press conference today. The conference among others was attended by Ravinder Singh, Romal Singh, general secretary Hockey J&K, G S Bakshi, Tajinder Singh, Manmohan Singh, Ravinder Singh and Amarjeet Singh.
They said that the objective of the tournament is to involve youth in sports to help them not to derail from the main stream.
16 teams will be participating in the tournament and the teams among others will be J&K Police team, Gurdaspur Hockey Club, Territory Army 157, Baramulla Hockey Club and Poonch Hockey Club.
The opening ceremony of the tournament will be held at 3 pm on November 24, 2013 and the closing ceremony will take place on December 3, 2013.
