JAMMU, Oct 8: Hrithik’s splendid 47 runs went in vain as Sanchit Dass, Jagandeep Singh and Pavit Singh contributed valuable runs to help Young Guns script a narrow win by 3 runs over Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) and lift the title trophy of the 3rd Simula Budding Cricketers U-16 Boys Tournament at MA Stadium, here.
Batting first, Young Guns scored 110 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in allotted 16 overs. Sanchit Dass played a brilliant innings of 45 runs with the help of 4 boundaries, while Jagandeep Singh and Pavit Singh contributed 30 and 17 runs to the total respectively. For MGCA, Satyabrath claimed one wicket.
In reply, MGCA scored 107 runs to lose the match by just 3 runs. Hrithik was the top scorer with 47 runs, while Sahil Mahotra and Surya contributed 18 and 17 runs respectively. Ramandeep and Sant Baksh claimed one wicket each for Young Guns. Sanchit Dass was adjudged man of the match for his magnificent knock.
