JAMMU, Dec 27: Samba Cricket Club and Laxmi Cricket Club Jammu registered narrow victories over their rivals in the AOI Christmas T20 Cricket Championship, being jointly organized by Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu and Christian Sports Organization, here.
In the first match, Samba Cricket Club defeated Sukhdev Cricket Academy in an exciting contest by 4 runs.
Batting first, Samba Cricket Club scored 173 runs for thje loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Radheysham top scored with 78 runs, while Shubham (35) and Vishal (23) were the other contributors.
From bowling side, Himanshu took 2 wickets, while Kasib claimed one wicket.
In reply, Sukhdev Cricket Academy managed to score 169 for loss of 4 wickets, thus lost the match by 4 runs. Akash scored unbeaten 113 runs and Arhad contributed 19 runs to the total.
From bowling side, Vishal took 3 wickets, while Rishab claimed 1 wicket. Akash was adjudged as the man of the match for his unbeaten century.
In another match, Laxmi Cricket Club defeated KC Sports Clubby 17 runs.
Batting first, Laxmi Cricket Club scored 144 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Pardeep Bali was the top scorer with 73 runs, while Yuvraj and Santbaksh contributed 23 and 17 runs respectively.
From bowling side, Tahir took 4 wickets, Sakib, Vicky, and Vivek shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, KC Sports Club scored 127 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs, thus lost the match by 17 runs. Hisham Saleem top scored with 53 runs, while Nawaz chipped in with 19 runs. From bowling side, Tapan took 3 wickets, while Santbaksh, Sameer and Bartu took 2 wickets each. Pardeep Bali was declared as the man of the match.
