JAMMU, Apr 22: Sakham Sabharwal won in boys Under-11 category in the ongoing Jammu division selection events while Radhika Palgotra won in girls Under-11 age category.
There was very high enthusiasm among young players.
Soham Kamotra won in U-17 boys age category while Arushi Kotwal won in girls U-17 age category.
In U-17 boys age group, young Pranav Abrol gave very tough fight to Soham Kamotra who was lucky to win after intense battle.
All the matches were conducted by Vivek Bharti by Swiss software under International rules and FIDE Laws of Chess.
Earlier, Atul Kumar Gupta President AJKCA briefed the players about benefits of playing Chess.
Matches were conducted under the supervision of Baldev Raj, Vice President AJKCA.
Selected players from these events along with selected players from Kashmir division will participate in Nationals of 2019-20.
