SAI Jammu organizes ‘Sundays on Cycle’ event with Journalists

JAMMU, May 25: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) Jammu Centre today conducted ‘Sundays on Cycle’ (SOC) event, engaging prominent journalists from the city’s print and electronic media to promote fitness and healthy living.
The event, part of a nationwide initiative, aims to spread awareness about the importance of regular physical activity in building a disease-free and obesity-free India. Journalists were briefed on the objectives of the SOC movement and lauded the vision of the Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs for initiating such inclusive public health campaigns.
Cyclists were flagged off from the STC Jammu in the MA Stadium Complex and followed a route covering Dogra Chowk, Tawi Bridge, Bikram Chowk, PHQ Rotary, Jammu University, and MAM College before returning to the starting point.
Following the ride, journalists interacted with SAI hostel inmates and shared a breakfast with them, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Aman Sharma, High Performance Director and Centre Head, SAI STC Jammu.
Notable participants included Vishal Bharti, Ajay Bachloo, Ashok Sharma, Ranjit Thakur, Sanjeev Sharma, Yogesh Sagotra, Arun Kumar and Ashu Kumar.
