JAMMU, Dec 11: In alignment with the ongoing FIT India initiative, the Jammu Centre of Sports Authority of India (SAI) organized an awareness program at SP Smart School Sidhra. The event saw active participation from students, staff and the school management, who enthusiastically embraced the mission of promoting fitness and health.
The program featured a demonstration of Wushu, a traditional martial art, by SAI trainees under the guidance of Sonu Haldwani, Assistant SAI Coach. In addition to Wushu, self-defense techniques were demonstrated to empower students with practical fitness and safety skills. Vice Principal, Pawan Singh, also administered the Oath of Fitness, urging all participants to commit to regular physical activity.
Aman Sharma, High Performance Director and Incharge of STC Jammu, highlighted the importance of the FIT India initiative and encouraged students to become ambassadors for the mission. Shilpa Gupta, Managing Director and Trustee of SP Smart School, praised the efforts of SAI in promoting fitness and expressed her school’s commitment to supporting similar initiatives in the future. The event was also attended by SP Singh, former National Gymnastics Coach and Manager, J&K Sports Council.
Pertinently, FIT India mission is being observed all across the country from November 15 to December 31st to sensitize the masses towards building up a healthy and disease free India.
