Sahil bags first prize in Inter-Collegiate Symposia

JAMMU, Sept 27: Gandhian Studies Centre of MAM College organised an Inter-Collegiate Symposia to commemorate Gandhi Jayanti and to pay homage to an alumni and NCC cadet of the college Late Lieutenant Sushil Khajuria.
Prof Satinder Singh, Nodal Principal, GGM Science College, presided over the function. He deliberated on the importance of NCC in contributing towards overall development of the nation.
Participants of varied colleges participated in the symposia and deliberated on the topic.
Prof Indira Rathore, Prof GL Thapa and Prof RL Sharma, Former Principals, were the jury members, who evaluated the performance of the participants.
Dr Ramesh Chander, Principal of the college, dwelt on the importance of NCC in building a strong nation.
Sahil Mehta of Government MAM College, Rinku Kumar of GGM Science College and Aditi Magotra of GCW Parade, bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
Earlier, Dr Twinkle Suri, Director, Gandhian Studies Centre, presented the welcome address.
Vineet Singh, a student of BA Part Ist compeered the proceedings of the symposia, while, Prof Banpreet Kour, delivered vote of thanks.
Among others present were Prof Shobha Gupta, Prof Shalini Sharma, Prof KR Sharma, Prof Sujat Khan, faculty members and students.
Rolling trophy for the symposia was presented by the parents of Late Lieutenant Sushil Khajuria to the winning college.
