JAMMU, Aug 7: Continuing with its initiative of imparting basic computer training to children hailing from the villages of Ratnuchak, Rajpur Koular, Birpur and Kundanpur, the Sabre Brigade of the Rising Star Corps conducted the second capsule for a batch of 27 children for a duration of two weeks.
A total of 52 children hailing from various villages in the Purmandal area have been imparted computer training at the Computer Training Laboratory of the Sabre Brigade till now.
The computer training is being provided by the Sabre Brigade as a goodwill gesture, keeping in mind the lack of such facilities for the local population in the area.
Apart from the training, the Army also catered for transportation for the children to avail this facility as the children attending the capsule hailed from far flung area which are less developed in terms of roads and transport.
Earlier, Brigadier Vikram Kumar, Commander of the Sabre Brigade interacted with the children of the first batch and emphasized on the importance of computer literacy in the digital world of today.
As an incentive, all children attending the capsule were gifted books on Basic Computer Education. The computer training will assist in honing the skills of the youth and prepare them for future.
