Saarthak-Chakshu duo lifts U-18 tennis title

JAMMU, June 4: Continuing their brilliance on the Tennis Court, the pair of Saarthak and Chakshu outclassed Gurleen and Rahul pair in an easy contest by two nil (2-0) in the best of three sets with the scores of 6-1, 6-1 in the summit clash to lift the Under-18 boys doubles title in the ongoing Jammu District Lawn Tennis Championship at Police Lines Gulshan ground, here today.
The championship is being organised by Friends Tennis Club Jammu, under the auspices of J&K Lawn Tennis Association.
Earlier, Arunav and Arihant qualified for the finals of Under-14 boys in doubles event by drubbing Hardik-Arjun pair in two straight sets (2-0) with the scores of 6-4 and 6-3 in best of three sets.
Meanwhile, Deepak has stormed into the finals of the Mens Singles event by defeating Mahim Jitendra in the best of three sets by two nil (2-0) in straight sets, with the scores of 7-5 and 6-1.
The finals of mens singles event and Under-14 doubles would be played tomorrow at the same venue.
