Ruhi bags 1st spot in symposium

SAMBA, Mar 7: Govt Degree College Samba organized a symposium on “Truth and Non-violence” among the College students.
The Programme was organized by Career Counseling Cell of the College in collaboration with Gandhi Global Family J&K Branch Jammu, under the directions of Director Colleges, Higher Education Department, J&K Govt.
Fifteen participants from the College participated in symposium and deliberated their views on Truth and Non-violence.
The Programme started with floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and lighting of the lamp by distinguished guests present on the occasion.
Dr. M S Pathania, Convenor Career Counselling Cell and Programme Coordinator  presented the welcome address and highlighted  the theme of the symposium.
Dr. Virjee Koul, Dr. Sandhya Rani and Prof. Ashan Ahamed acted as jury members during the symposium. Dr. Dalbir Singh, HoD Physics, Prof. Jagdish Kumar Prof. Seema, Prof. Anupma and other faculty members alongwith large number of students attended the programme.
The first, second and third positions were secured by Ruhi Mandotra, Digvijay Singh and Nisha Rani respectively, while the consolation prize was given to Neeraj Chouhan.
Merit certificates and mementoes were distributed among the winners by Dr. Dalbir Singh HoD Physics, Dr M S Pathania, Convenor and jury members.
The Programme was compered by Prof Kamaljeet Choudhary who also presented the vote of thanks.
