Royal Legend Club beat Champion Cricket Club

Jammu, Apr 19: The 9th match of the 2nd Sher-e-Kashmir Day & Night T20 Cricket Tournament 2026, held under the “Say No to Drugs” campaign, witnessed an impressive performance by Royal Legend Club as they defeated Champion Cricket Club in a one-sided contest.

The tournament, organized by Youth National Conference Jammu, aims to promote sportsmanship among youth while spreading awareness against drug abuse.

After winning the toss, Champion Cricket Club opted to bat first but struggled to build momentum. The team was bowled out for 133 runs in 19.5 overs. Sunil Kumar emerged as the top scorer, contributing a steady 42 runs off 31 balls.

Royal Legend Club’s bowling attack was led by Anchal Singh, who delivered a standout performance, claiming 3 wickets for 20 runs in his 4 overs. He was well supported by Jaddu, who also picked up 3 wickets, conceding 31 runs.

Chasing a modest target of 134, Royal Legend Club displayed aggressive intent from the outset. They reached the target comfortably in just 15.1 overs, finishing at 134 for the loss of 7 wickets. Surya led the charge with a quickfire 45 off 22 balls, while AG remained unbeaten on 37 off 19 deliveries. Jagdi also chipped in with a brisk 16 off 8 balls.

For Champion Cricket Club, Ritik Singh and Ahmed Farooq were the pick of the bowlers, taking two wickets each.

Anchal Singh was adjudged Man of the Match for his excellent all-round performance, playing a crucial role in his team’s victory.

The match was graced by former minister Bhau Rampal as the Chief Guest, along with special guest Mahender Singh, former Chairman of JCC Bank.
