JAMMU, Dec 7: Roots the Montessori house celebrated Annual Sports Day with great zeal and fervour, here today.
The Sports Meet was based on the theme ‘Health is Wealth’.
The event included rabbit race, hurdle race, side race, lemon race, and sack race involving activities pertaining to staying healthy like matching good food with healthy tooth, junk food with decayed tooth and putting up images that completed the health tree chart showing simple ways to stay healthy.
Cycling was also done by the children as a way to keep environment healthy and as a form of exercise.
The children also displayed yoga asana and karate moves in the event.
All the children were given medals of appreciation. Each one of them was a winner.
Certificates were distributed among the children by the Principal, Avneet Aulakh.
