JAMMU, Oct 25: RM Public School, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, organized an immersive cultural exchange program celebrating the Dogra heritage. The event was attended by IIM Jammu students Rishab Dua, Shivam Pratihast and Priti Tiwari, alongside students from classes VI to IX.
The program included traditional poster-making, a themed ramp walk and innovative Dogri Booth displays, allowing students to explore Jammu’s rich customs and artistic expressions. Students in authentic Dogri attire participated enthusiastically in rituals, slogan chanting and creative competitions, showcasing pride in their regional identity.
The initiative was supported by Chairman Rameshwar Mengi, Director Rakshan Mengi, Vice Principal Dr. Harvinder Kour and Administrator Surinder Singh. The program provided IIM Jammu students insights into local heritage while encouraging school students to engage in intercultural dialogue and leadership.
This collaborative effort highlights the importance of preserving Jammu’s Dogra legacy and fostering holistic, culturally aware education.
