SRINAGAR, Apr 5: Football fans in Kashmir are set for an exciting evening as Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) take on Chanmari Football Club in an Indian Football League (IFL) match under floodlights on Monday at TRC Ground, Srinagar.
Unlike the previous two matches that kicked off at 4:00 pm, Monday’s fixture will begin at 6:30 pm, promising a thrilling encounter under lights. All necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for spectators.
Owned by Arshad Shawl, RKFC has had a below-par run in the league so far. However, head coach Ishfaq Ahmad remains optimistic about a turnaround. Speaking at a pre-match press conference, he said the team is mentally prepared and focused on delivering results.
Referring to the previous game, Ishfaq noted that the team dominated but failed to convert chances. “We should have scored more goals but missed opportunities and got punished. Tactically, we were better,” he said.
Player Basit Ahmad also expressed confidence in the team’s preparations and urged fans to turn up in large numbers to support the home side in this crucial clash.
