SAMBA, Sept 7: Rich Harvest School held a function here today in the School premises to prepare students for the future task.
The preparation includes training them to be future leaders. To carry the tradition forward, Rich Harvest conferred badges of responsibility on the democratically elected student council members for this session.
Chief guest, Surinder Choudhary Additional SP Samba accompanied by the Presiding Officer, Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister R&B and Higher Education were presented a guard of honour by the NCC squad on the occasion. The Scouts & Guides welcomed the illustrious guests with thunderous applause.
The galaxy of distinguished guests including Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust, Advocate Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, MD Rich Harvest, Ruchi Charak, Director Rich Harvest, Principal Anita Bhatia and Nishikant Sharma, Special Correspondent Daily Excelsior invoked divine blessings by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Principal, Anita Bhatia accorded a warm welcome to the dignitaries and proud parents of office bearers. A musical extravaganza “Vandana” was meticulously presented by the senior girls much to the delight of the congregation.
The student council members led by Head Boy Gokul and Head Girl Akansha marched majestically to receive their badges and sashes of responsibility from the chief guest. Donning the mantle of responsibility, the new cabinet was administered the School oath wherein they promised to follow the school’s rules, regulations and work in the interest of the student community.
The chief guest in his address urged the council to perform their duties in the best interest of all concerned and become ideal role models for their juniors.
