Rhythm slams ton as GD Goenka, KC Public script wins

JAMMU, Jan 13: Rhythm Mahajan scored unbeaten century and helped his team to register a big win in the Under-16 Boys Inter-School Cricket Tournament, being organized by Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) at its cricket ground, here.
In the first match played today, GD Goenka trounced KC Gurukul in an easy contest.
Batting first, KC Gurukul scored 162 runs. Paras was the top scorer with 36 runs, while Shivam and Praful contributed 18 and unbeaten 12 runs respectively.  For GD Goenka, Tarun took 2 wickets.
In reply, GD Goenka chased the target in 13 overs as Rhythm Mahajan send the bowlers on a leather-hunt and scored unbeaten 106 runs. Ansh and Arush contributed 17 and 13 runs to the total respectively. Sumit took one wicket for KC Gurukul. Rhythm Mahajan was adjudged as man of the match.
In another match, KC Public School defeated GD XI in an easy contest. GD XI scored 153 runs. Harsh top scored with 48 runs, while Harmal and Vinayak contributed 35 and 28 runs to the total respectively. Snoop, Arin and Pranav took 2 wickets each.
In reply, KC Public School chased the target easily as Ayush Bhat and Madhvendra scored 71 and 54 runs respectively. Deepanshu also contributed 20 runs to the total. Bunish claimed one wicket. Ayush Bhat was declared as man of the match.
