DODA, July 23: Rehmat Cricket Club Doda registered resounding win over Wadiye Kashmir by 6 wickets and advanced to the next stage of the ongoing All India 13th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2017 being played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Wadiye Kashmir team was bundled out for just 69 runs in 12.5 overs as the bowlers of Rehmat Cricket Club Doda created havoc from the word go. Mudassir Ahmed was the highest scorer with 32 runs, while Irfan Ahmed contributed 11 runs for his team. From Rehmat Cricket Club Doda, Kulwinder Singh, Abhijeet and Rompy shared 3 wickets each, while Rahul Mussa scalped 1 wicket.
In reply, after having good start from the opening batsman, Rehmat Cricket Club Doda managed to chased the given target in 8.5 overs for the loss of 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Yuvraj Solanki was the highest scorer who contributed 18 runs while Karan Bawa contributed 17 runs for his team. From Wadiye Kashmir, Asrar Bhat scalped 2 wickets while Hashim Syed and Ishfaq Ahmed shared 1 wicket each. Kulwinder Singh of Rehmat Cricket Club Doda team was adjudged as the man of the match for his brilliant bowling performance who was given by Mohammad Shafi Attu, Dr Tahir Muneeb Zargar, Syed Riaz Ahmed and Mashood Latief Zargar.
The match was officiated by Ifroz Rather and Munish Zutshi as umpires while Milind Gore and Waseem Raja maintained the scorebook.
