JAMMU, Nov 6: Around 100 fencers drawn from different Educational Institutions and
Clubs participated in the 12th Reasi District Open Fencing Championship, organized by Reasi District Fencing Association in collaboration with General Zorawar Singh Memorial College Reasi in the Multipurpose Hall of the College, here.
The Competitions were held in under-14, 17, 19 and senior groups for both boys and girls sections.
Prominent persons present on the occasion were Jadish Kumar, Secretary Reasi District Fencing Association, Assistant Professor Ajay Kumar and Physical Director Rakesh
Meenia, besides spectators and the participants.
The bouts were officiated by Hardeep Bhagat, Rohit Panjgotra, Abhinav Dogra and Mohd Muzamal.
In Under-19 Foil Individual Boys, Bharat Dogra won Gold, Gourav Thakur clinched Silver and Kapish Bali and Aryan Chandel claimed Bronze.
In Under-14 Epee Individual Boys, Manzoor Ahmed clinched Gold, Amit Atri won Silver, while Nikhil Thakur and Sahil Raina bagged Bronze.
In Under-14 Sabre Individual Boys, Mandeep Singh bagged Gold, Rashpal Singh got Silver, while Kameshwar and Kavi Bandral won Bronze.
In Under-17 Sabre Girls Individual Boys,
Roshni Devi won Gold, Ayushi Rajput got Silver and Riya and Manya clinched Bronze.
