JAMMU, July 26: The District Level Inter School Tournament in the disciplines of Basketball, Rifle Shooting, Carrom, Chess and Yoga under the age groups of 19 years in both boys and girls sections was conducted at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Sports complex, here.
A large number of players drawn from different Higher Secondary Schools of district Reasi competed with great zeal and zest in these competitions.
On this occasion, Arvind Karwani, Deputy CEO, SMVDSB Katra was the chief guest, who interacted with the players.
While interacting with the players, Mr Karwani said that a sport is a physical activity that tests our athletic abilities. Earlier, Jeet Singh, District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Reasi presented welcome address.
The competitions were conducted by a panel of experts in different games.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Rajinder Magotra, Basketball Coach, Naresh Kumar, Jagdev Singh, Kuldeep Kumar, Rakesh Sharma and Sunny Kumar.
