RCC Srinagar storms into final as Satish, Ahmer slam big fifties

JAMMU, Dec 26: Outplaying Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) by a big margin of 71runs in the semifinals by riding on magnificent half-centuries from Satish Kumar and Ahmer, Raianwari Cricket Club (RCC) Srinagar stormed into the finals of the ongoing 2nd Jammu Tawi Premier T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by JTCC at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, RCC Srinagar scored a decent total of 186 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 2 wickets in the process. Ahmed was the top scorer with 66 runs, studded with 11 boundaries, while Satish contributed brilliant unbeaten 61 runs with the help of 7 boundaries and one six. Shashi Kumar also scored valuable 44 runs including 4 crispy boundaries. For MGCA, Aryan and Bhanu claimed one wicket each.
In reply, MGCA bundled out for 115 runs in 18.3 overs, thus lost the match by 71 runs. Abhishek was the top scorer with 40 runs, while Sahil Mahotra contributed 312 runs and Subrat chipped in with 11 runs. For RCC, Satish was the pick of the bowlers, who bagged 3 important wickets by conceding 6 runs in his 2 overs, while Manik Gupta, Kuldeep Kumar and Raghbir claimed 2 wickets each and Amit Sharma took one. For his extraordinary all-round display, Satish Kumar was adjudged man of the match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Rajinder Singh as umpires, while Sandeep Manchanda and Sohail Yousuf were the scorers.
Now, RCC Srinagar will lock horns with Wave Cricket Club in the finals.
