JAMMU, Jan 9: International Athlete from Jammu, Ravinder Singh has been nominated as a member of Talent Identification Zonal Committee for North Zone (Athletics) under Khelo India Identification Program, an initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.
Ravinder Singh is senior vice-president of the J&K Athletics Association. He shall be part of the team that will look for talent in States and UTs including J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.
The committee will identify grass root talent by using appropriate method, ensure updating of data base on NSRS and create ranking of Athletes.
In this regard, an order was issued by Ministry of Youth Services and Sports Government of India on January 7.
