Srinagar, June 4: The Ice Hockey Association of J&K (IHAJK) has held Managing Body elections here today in Srinagar, in which Ravinder Pal Singh was elected as its president for the term of four years.
After the annual general meeting of IHAJK, election for the office bearers and executive committee of IHAJK were conducted under the supervision of returning officer (RO) Mir Asrar Ahmad, senior advocate, J&K High Court, Srinagar.
After completing the election proceedings, the managing body was announced for four years in which Ravinder Pal Singh was elected as president, senior vice president; Sarfaraz Nawaz Mir; vice presidents Shadab Rashid and Neelofar; general secretary; Umer Akbar, treasurer; Abdul Qayoom, joint secretaries; Musaib Ahmad Dar and Shaheena.
Anzer Mehraj, Rais Ahmad, Waseem Khan, Shabnam Hameed and Afaq Zahoor were elected as managing body members.
Ravinder Pal Singh, president, (IHAJK) asked the newly elected committee to work with honesty and dedication and ensure maximum participation of interested budding youth in Ice Hockey.
Gurpreet Singh Bakshi, acting president Ice Hockey Association of India and Harjinder Singh, general secretary Ice Hockey Association of India were also present in annual general meeting as observers.
