JAMMU, Apr 30: The district-level Speedball Championship concluded today with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship at JP World School. Organised by the J&K Sports Speedball Association, the event marked the 5th death anniversary of late Ravi Tikku, honouring his contribution to the sport.
Over 200 students from across Jammu district participated. The event was smoothly conducted by Sunny Nanda, General Secretary of the association. Prominent attendees included chief guest Ansuya Jamwal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Law & Order, Jammu and guest of honour Dr N M Tikku. Other distinguished guests present were Panna Manhas, Vanita Bakaya, Ankush Mahajan, Reema Tikku, Munish Gupta, Ashta Nanda and Aparna Kohli.
Addressing the gathering, Ansuya Jamwal motivated youth under the “Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan” to stay away from drugs and adopt sports. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr N M Tikku.
