DODA, July 25: The Army’s Rajput 10 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda organised an intra-district volleyball tournament at Government Higher Secondary School Bhagwah, here today.
10 Villages participated in the event which included Kastigarh, Desa, Koti, Lal Draman, Ganeka and Gath.
The final was played today between village Bhagwah and Jammu and Kasmir Police team .In the thrilling encounter, JKP team defeated Bhagwah team. Commanding Officer 10 RR Rajput Battalion was chief guest on the occasion where as Principal GHSS Bhagwah Agyia Pal Sharma was guest of honor, and both officers gave away prizes to the winner and runners up teams. Speaking on the occasion Principal of the Govt Hr Sec School Bhagwah Agyia Pal Sharma appreciated the good will gesture of the 10 RR Rajput for organizing volley ball tournament in such a remote institution and it will provide exposure to local youth and will build up the inter community bonds among the Army and society .
