JAMMU, Oct 29: Half century by skipper Ranjeet Singh guided Singh Warriors to outplay Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and enter into the next round of the ongoing 3rd T-20 Sikh Premier League, being organized by Khalsa Cricket Club Jammu at Baba Jhule Shah Ground, Talab Tillo, Jammu, here today.
Batting first after winning the toss, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur scored 145 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Bhupinder Singh scored 49 runs in 23 balls, while Harmeet made 31 runs in 34 balls and Raman scored 21 runs off 30 balls.
For Singh Warriors, Maninderpal was wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 4 wickets while Ranjeet and Paramveer shard one wicket apiece.
In reply, Singh Warriors led by captain Ranjeet chased the target in 15.3 overs by losing 5 wickets and won the match. Ranjeet was the highest scorer with half century off 25 balls while Maninder scored 33 runs in 32 balls and Kamalpreet also contribute with 26 runs in 15 balls.
For Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, Bhupinder and Opinder Pal took 1 wicket each.
On the occasion, Advocate Abhinav Sharma was the special guest, while members of Khalsa Cricket Club Jammu and sports lovers were also present.
