SRINAGAR, Aug 16: The Police Headquarters Auditorium in Srinagar hosted a range level debate competition today, organized by the IGP Technical Services J&K. The debate focused on the topic: “Human Rights Violation cannot be controlled without controlling crimes by organized criminal syndicates, including terrorist outfits, human trafficking gangs, and narcotics smugglers.”
Fifteen officers from various wings of Jammu and Kashmir Police, including PHQ J&K, CID J&K, Crime Branch J&K, Railway Police J&K, Traffic Police Wing J&K, SDRF/HG J&K, and Police Technical wing J&K, participated in the competition.
The jury, comprising Jawad Ahmad and Naseer Ahmad, both Principal and District Sessions Judges, alongside Prof. Mufti Mudasir Farooqi, Prof. Tasleem Ahmad War from the University of Kashmir, and Dr. Mir Junaid Alam, Assistant Professor at the University of Kashmir, evaluated the participants’ performances.
IGP Technical Services J&K, B. S. Tuti, commended the jury for their participation and highlighted the competition’s role in raising human rights awareness within the police force. PSI Madhu Fakwaria was awarded first place, receiving Rs 5,000 and a certificate. SI (Tel) Abhinandan Singh secured second place with Rs 4,000, and Inspector Peerzada Bashir came in third with Rs 3,000. All participants were given certificates of participation.
