Randhawa distributes uniforms, releases funds for GGHS Salehar

JAMMU, May 27: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Vikram Randhawa released an amount of Rs 2 lakh for the infrastructural development of the Government Girls High School (GGHS), Salehar in Arnia zone.
A function was today organised in the GGHS Salehar to inaugurate the new Nursery classroom and Mr Randhawa was the chief guest on the occasion. After inaugurating the classroom Ch Vikram distributed uniforms among the students.
While addressing the teachers Randhawa urged upon them to inculcate moral values among the students, adding that the future of the nation lies in the hands of the young generation and the teachers have a great responsibility in shaping their future.
He said that punctual, dedicated and honest teachers can provide good citizens to the nation that help in building a great society.
Randhawa said that the students in government run schools belong to the poor families and it is imperative to impart them quality education so that they can compete with those studying in private schools.
On the demand of the staff, Randhawa announced Rs 2 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for the construction of the boundary wall of the school and a platform for the morning Assembly.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Headmaster of the School, Sudesh Gupta, BJP workers Rakesh Pant, Rajesh, Sumit Choudhary and Joginder Singh.
The teachers present on the occasion included Devinder Singh, Avtar Chand, Mohan Lal, Sushma Dogra, Rajni Bala, Ritu Sharma, Sonam Salaria, Banget Kour and Manju Raina.
