SRINAGAR, July 10: Hailing from Buddu Billawar of Kathua District, Jammu and Kashmir’s former first class cricketer Raju Sharma has passed BCCI’s Level-2 Coaching Course and has qualified for the prestigious Level-3 Coaching Course of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Head Coach of J&K Under-19 Men’s team, Sharma has the distinction of leading Jammu and Kashmir to historic win in U-19 Men’s Vinoo Mankad Trophy last season. Apart from Coaching the Jammu and Kashmir team, Raju has the honour of Coaching U-23, U-19 and U-16 Delhi teams more than once. Sharma has also the experience of working with the Delhi Daredevils team in more than one IPL season.
Raju Sharma has represented Jammu and Kashmir in 16 Ranji Trophy (4-day) matches and 13 List A (One-Day) matches. Playing as an all-rounder (right-handed batter and right-arm medium pacer), Sharma averaged around 30 in List A and 10 wickets in 13 games, with superb economy.
