Rajesh Gupta inaugurates PSA’s Cricket Coaching Camp, assures assistance to Parade ground

*Randhir, Rupali among coaches to bestow tips

JAMMU, June 3: MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta inaugurated 3rd Summer Cricket Coaching Camp for boys and girls between the age of 12 to 16 years in an impressive and well attended function at Parade Ground, here today.
The Camp is being organized by Parade Sports Association (PSA) in collaboration with Laxmi Cricket Club. This is the third cricket camp of its kind where number of Senior National level cricketers and ace coaches who are the active members of the association will bestow tips to the budding cricketers of Jammu.
Lectures for learning different techniques of fielding, batting, bowling and wicket-keeping will be delivered by the senior experienced cricketers. The stress will be on discipline and physical fitness, besides yoga and meditation techniques.
Routine Medical checkup and required lab investigations will also be arranged during the camp. In addition, applied techniques of physiotherapy shall also be detailed by the experts.
Harsh Nayyar, former Ranji Trophy Cricketer is the Chief Organizer of the Camp, while the prominent coaches who will bestow the tips  include ace coaches Randhir Singh Jamwal and Rupali Salathia, besides  Sameer Khajuria, Pardeep Bali, Anju Gupta and Sakita Sharma. Vicky Dogra will be physio/trainer of the Camp.
For good health of the camp, former Ranji Trophy skippers of J&K namely Sanjay Sharma, Kawaljeet Singh and Dhruv Mahajan will deliver important lectures to the learners.
Senior cricketers Kapil Dev Mahajan, Pawan Gupta and S. Amarjeet Singh will be the organizing team.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Gupta termed Parade ground as Mecca of cricket in J&K and assured his help and assistance for the betterment of Parade Ground.
Earlier, Vijay Sabarwal, President PSA threw light on the activities of the Association and thanked the players and officials of Laxmi Cricket Club for their efforts to make the event successful. Pardeep Bali, Chairman of the Association hoped for meaningful outcome of the Camp.
Mr Nayyar briefed about the activities to be carried out in the camp.
International Handball player and senior cricketer, Akshay Khajuria and a galaxy of the members of Association and other senior cricketers were part of the inaugural function.
