Rain plays spoilsport, abandons matches in KPCL

JAMMU, Oct 20: Heavy rains which lashed Jammu City and adjoining areas today played spoilsport as it abandoned both the matches scheduled for the day in the ongoing Kashmiri Pandit Cricket League, being organised by Safran Cricket Club at Country Cricket Stadium Gharota, here.
In the first outing of the day, RS Cricket Club was scheduled to lock horns with Shailputri Cricket Club, while in the second match, Whites Cricket Club was all set to take on Young Strikers Cricket Club.
Sixteen teams are taking part in this mega cricket tournament which is being played on league cum knockout basis.
The matches are being officiated by Ashok Singh, Rohan Sharma and Girdhari Lal as the umpires, while Arun Zalpuri, Aneesh and Vicky Raina are maintaining the online and offline scores and Ajay Peshin is doing the referees job.
The tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Chief Organiser Sarthak Khoda.
