JAMMU, Nov 20: Quiz Competition ‘Bharat Ko Jano’ based on General Knowledge, organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad Bahu Branch Trikuta Nagar, Jammu at New Era Mother High School, Nanak Nagar, here.
The participating schools included New Era Mother High School, Nanak Nagar, Jammu, Rainbow Public School, Rampura, Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Jammu Sanskrit School, Kothe Ismailpur, Jammu, Government Middle School, Railway Station, Jammu and Jeevan Jyoti Public School, Marble Market, Jammu.
A total of 8 teams in both the categories
(Senior/Junior) took part in the competition.
M L Vaid, Convenor and TC Taggar, State Financial Secretary conducted the competition.
In senior category, New Era Mother High School Stood first, Jammu Sanskrit School claimed second position and Rainbow Public School Rampura bagged third place.
In Junior category, Jeevan Jyoti Public School stood first, New Era Mother High School won second place and Govt Middle School, Railway Colony stood third. Trophies and refreshment was given to all the participants.
Dr HR Sharma, Chairman of the New Era Mother High School, Nanak Nagar, Jammu was the chief guest.
Earlier, the programme started with welcome address by Purshottam Gupta Branch President, followed by ‘deep prajwalan’ and ‘vande mataram’.
Amita Sharma, State President of BVP, Ranu Sahu, Vijay Sharma, KK Khajuria, Pratap Singh Arora, BD Gupta and other members of Bahu Branch attended the function.
RK Sahu, Secretary of the branch presented the vote of thanks.
