QFs lineup drawn as KC Strikers, Tulmul Tigers script wins in KPPL

JAMMU, Nov 26: Quarterfinals position has been cleared as formidable KC Young Strikers and Tulmul Tigers registered emphatic victories over their rivals in the ongoing Kashmiri Pandit Premier League (KPPL), being organised under the banner of Iqwaat Sports Organisation, an initiative of Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj at MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the first match, Tulmul Tigers defeated Surinder Cricket Club in an easy contest by 6 wickets. Batting first, Surinder Cricket Club scored a meagre total of 90 runs, while Tulmul Tigers chased the total by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Ronak Razdan was adjudged as man of the match for his all-round display.
In another match, KC Young Strikers defeated Milchar Cricket Club by 8 wickets. Milchar Club scored 124 runs, which KC Strikers chased easily by losing 2 wickets. For KC Young Strikers, Sidharth and Sanchit scored 57 and 41 runs respectively, while from Milchar Ishan Dhar scored 55 runs. Sidharth of KC Young Strikers was adjudged as the man of the match.
The teams which have qualified for the quarterfinals include KC Young Strikers, Milchar Cricket Club, RCC Bulls, Satisar Cricket Club, Sai Cricket Club, Kashmir Rangers, Tulmul Tigers and Satan Cricket Club.
KC Young Strikers will take on Tulmul Tigers at 9 am tomorrow in first quarterfinal, while Milchar Cricket Club will face Satisar Cricket Club at 1 pm in 2nd quarterfinal match on the same day.
In third quarterfinal, Sai Cricket Club will meet Kashmir Rangers at 9 am on November 28, while in another quarterfinal, RCC Bulls will lock horns against Satan Cricket Club at 1 pm on the same day.
Kiran Wattal, convener Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj was the chief guest in today’s matches, who presented man of the match award to winners, while MK Yogi, president NC Minority Cell; Pintoo Ji, president Global Solace and Roshan Lal Bhat, Principal Hema Public School were the guests of honour.
