JAMMU, Feb 9: As a part of 31st Police Public Mela a Healthy Baby Competition and Painting Competition was organized by J&K Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA) at SDRF 2nd Battalion, Gulshan Ground, here today.
Chairperson Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA), Dr Rubinder Kaur and other PWWA members were present on this occasion.
Sixty babies accompanied by their parents participated in two categories (0 to 03 years) and (03 to 06 years) respectively.
A team of doctors including Dr Kirti Bhushan Sharma, Medical Superintendent, Police Hospital, Dr Shabir Gutt, Dr Rajesh Koul and paramedic staff conducted examination of health parameters of the participating babies. This competition was held for the babies of Police Pariwar from the rank of SPO.
In the painting competition, 170 students from Police Public School, Miran Sahab, Jammu, G.D. Goenka, Shiksha Niketan, Govt. Girls High School, Gandhi Nagar, K.V-1st Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and other schools participated in the junior and senior categories. The theme for the junior category was Road Safety, Gardens and Forests, while for the senior category the themes were Swach Bharat, Save Energy and Mountains with Snow.
In the Healthy baby competition junior group (0 to 3 years) Ashrith Wali, Ehsan-ul-Haq and Rajvir Singh bagged first, second and third prize respectively, while in the senior group (3 to 6 years), Towheed Khan, Manyata Rajput and Manasdini Kotwal were adjudged first, second and third respectively.
Similarly, in the painting competition junior group (6 to 12 years), Krish Mangotra, Adarsh Bhagat and Hitashi Sangra bagged first, second and third position respectively, while in the senior group (12 and above years), Gagandeep Singh, Aryan Baloria and Sonam were adjudged first, second and third respectively. The consolation prizes in all categories were decided.
The prizes will be distributed in the Police Public Mela to be held on February 17, 2019.
