JAMMU, Oct 15: Punjab Wrestler Rishu Pahalwan clinched the Annual “Gole Panj Peer Dangal” title by defeating Wrestler Asif from Jammu in a very tough fight.
The Dangal was organized by Farman Ali, organizer of the Dangal Committee and the tournament was attended by many dignitaries including MP Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas as the chief guest and former Minister Sat Sharma (CA) as the guest of honour.
The first Mali bout (1st Malli)  winner Rishu Pahalwan was cash awarded with Rs 21000 while the runners-up Wrestler from Jammu, Asif was cash awarded with Rs 15000 and third position holder Sadiq was cash awarded with Rs 11000 by both Shamsher Singh and Sat Sharma.
Speaking on the occasion, the guests appreciated the efforts of the committee for organizing such annual features.
They said sports and games help youth not to derail from the mainstream.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Deepak Kumar, Shammi Saini, Rinka Saini, Rajesh Saini, Manzoor Ahmed, Ghulam Nabi, Mohinder Kumar and Bablu Chand.
