KATHUA, Dec 20: PS PCL Patiala and Sandhu Cricket Club Ludhiana registered wins over their rivals in the ongoing 6th Police Martyrs Memorial North Zone Inter Club T20 Cricket Championship at Sports Stadium, here today.
The first match of the day was played between Friends Club Delhi and PS PCL Patiala
Friends Club Delhi won the toss and elected to bowl first. PS PCL Patiala scored 136 runs in 20 overs by losing 5 wickets.
Himanshu scored 59 runs in 44 balls with 5 boundaries and 2 sixes and was the top scorer. Pulkit Narayan of Friends Club Delhi took 2 wickets by conceding 13 runs. Friends Club Delhi could not chase the target and scored 109 runs by losing 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Keshav PS PCL Patiala was the most successful bowler who took 4 wickets by conceding 31 runs in his 4 overs. Himanshu who scored 59 runs in 44 balls was declared man of match and received a cash prize of Rs 1500 and trophy.
In another match, Parade Sports Association Jammu won the toss and chose to bat first and scored a paltry total of 90 runs in 18 overs. Jatin who scored 16 runs in 15 balls was the top scorer. Sandhu Cricket Club Ludhiana chased the target in just 17.4 balls by losing 3 wickets. Anil Siyag of Sandhu Cricket Club Ludhiana was the top scorer, who scored 31 runs in 44 balls with 2 boundaries and was declared man of the match with cash prize of Rs 1500 and a trophy.
