SOPORE, July 24: Provincial Level Inter District Football Championship got underway with an impressive inaugural ceremony at Khushal Stadium, here.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr GN Itoo was the chief guest, while Javeed Iqbal, SSP Sopore was the guest of honour.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla while addressing on the inaugural function impressed upon the students to participate in games and sports and say no to drugs. He acknowledged the efforts of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Baramulla and said that such events should be organized in Baramulla in future also.
Very impressive cultural items were presented by the students on the inaugral function of PLID Football Championship by the students of different institutions of District Baramulla.
The other dignitaries on the inaugural function were ADC Sopore, Deputy CEO Baramulla, Principal Boys and Girls higher Secondary School Sopore, Chairman Met and Sanctorium, EO Municipal Council, Sopore.
